Argentina's Milei to Meet with Macri to Seek Reform Consensus

President Javier Milei will meet this Friday with former leader Mauricio Macri as part of the cabinet changes the government is evaluating and as part of the search for consensus to promote reforms such as labor and tax, among others. Milei will meet with Macri after the meeting he held with 20 governors from different political sectors at the Casa Rosada. Macri himself had confirmed the resumption of meetings with Milei and even anticipated some points on the agenda. "He invited me to eat some milanesas, we are going to talk, he accepted that I go and tell him what I think," he said last Wednesday from Chile during his speech at the seminar "Bridges, dialogue to build," organized by BICE Corp. Likewise, he marked the keys of the message he will repeat tomorrow before the president and the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei. "More muscle is needed in management and dialogue. It is necessary to recover levels of trust based on teams, negotiation, muscle, clarity and he has expressed it," he added. Last Monday, after exchanging praise on social networks, Milei called Macri and thanked him for the meeting they had held prior to the elections, also in Olivos. That phone call lasted 10 minutes and was tinged with congratulations and thanks the day after the legislative election. Since early August, Macri and the president have been exchanging occasional gestures after the PRO founder agreed with the youngest Milei to compete in an alliance in the city of Buenos Aires.
